Dolphins Best Bills 22-9

Ryan Tannehill threw for 240 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Miami Dolphins overcame 5 sacks and 2 lost fumbles to beat the Buffalo Bills 22-9 on Thursday night.

The Dolphins defense held Kyle Orton to 193 yards through the air with no TDs. They also held the Bills to just 54 yards on the ground. Anthony Dixon had 35 of those yards on 10 carries to lead the Bills ground game.

Jarvis Landry and Brandon Gibson had the receiving touchdowns for the Dolphins.

The lone bright spot for the Bills was the play of Mario Williams who had 3 1/2 sacks in the game.

News and Notes From Week 7 in the NFL

Thursday through Sunday in the NFL was pretty exciting. The Redskins, behind backup quarterback Colt McCoy, beat the Titans 19-17. The St. Louis Rams used special team subterfuge to upset the Seahawks 28-26.

After looking so good last week, the Browns lost 24-6 to the here to fore winless Jaguars. The Bills lost key players but rallied on a TD pass from Kyle Orton to win 17-16 over the Vikings.

Matthew Stafford engineered two late TD drives to topple the Saints 24-23. The Chiefs used a last second FG to beat the Chargers, while Demacro Murray set an NFL record that had stood for 56 years as the Cowboys humbled the Giants 31-21.

The Bears are bickering among themselves and with their fans...again.

Oh yes, Rodgers, Brady and Manning were their same old selves...ho hum!

New England 37-22 Over Buffalo Bills

It looks like Tom Brady and the New England appear to be back, if in fact they were ever gone. The Patriots went into Buffalo and came away with a 37-22 victory and a firm grip on the AFC East.

Tom Brady was 27 for 37 passing for 361 yards and 4 TDs. Brady needed to shine because the Bills defense held New England to 50 yards rushing on 27 carries.

Brandon LaFell caught 4 passes from Brady for 97 yards and 2 TDs. Brian Tyms and Tim Wright both caught a TD on throws from Brady.

Kyle Orton was 24 for 38 for 299 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT
