Jonathan Albaladejo was saddled with the loss as the Toros de Tijuana bested the Diablos Rojos del Mexico, 9-2, in the season opener of the LMB.

The game was scoreless until the top of the 4th. Eduardo Arredondo, 4 for 5 on the night, doubled to lead off the inning, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a fielding error by the Diablos shortstop to stake the Toros to an early 1-0 lead.
