Ottawa Senators Fire Head Coach Paul Maclean

The Ottawa Senators have fired head coach Paul Maclean after an 11-11-5 start to the 2014-2015 NHL season.

Just two years ago, Maclean was the winner of the Jack Adams Award as the NHL's Coach of the Year.

The Senators were 114-90-35 in the four years that Maclean was their coach.

Gordie Howe Suffers Stroke

86 year old Gordie Howe has suffered a stroke and is resting comfortably at his daughter's home in Lubbock, Texas.

Howe was a 6 time winner of the Hart Trophy, the NHL Most Valuable Player. He also won the Art Bass Trophy, leading scorer in the NHL, 6 times and played on 4 Stanley Cup winning teams.

The tragic murder of the soldier at the Canadian Tomb of the Unknowns and bullets flying in the Parliament Building are grim reminders that the world has gone crazy and that sports sometimes need to take a back seat to life.

The games will go on in Canada! The Canadian and American citizens will not be terrorized!
