The Mayos de Navojoa improved to 6-5 on the season with the win in Guadalajara while dropping the Charros to 7-4. The two teams used a combined 15 pitchers and 23 position players. The game started in dry conditions but it began drizzling later. The rain was from the outer bands of hurricane Patricia, expected to hit the southern Mexican coast Friday or Saturday.

Charros Starter Alex Sanabia
Juan Robles (1-0) picked up the win in relief and Jesus Garcia picked up his 1st save of the year. Adrian Ramirez was charged with a blown save and Luis Rodriguez (0-1) was charged with the loss for Jalisco.

Diego Madero led off the Mayos half of the 3rd inning with a triple and scored one out later on a ground ball to short and the score was tied at 1 all.

Madero hit his second triple of the game in the 5th inning and scored when the Charros shortstop missed the throw in from the outfield. Navojoa had taken a 2-1 lead.

Eliseo Aldazba hit a solo home run with 2 outs in the top of the 9th inning as Navojoa tied the score at 3.

The Charros loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the 9th inning but Cacao Valdez grounded into a 5-2 fielders choice that got Gutierrez, who had doubled to lead off the inning, at home and Japhet Amador flew out to center to end the inning.

Lance Zadwadski singled to start the 11th for the Mayos and went to second on a sacrifice bunt by Jesus Castillo. Luis Rodriguez was intentionally walked and with 2 outs, Diego Madero reached first safely on a throwing error by the Charros shortstop as Zadwadski scored and Navojoa was on top 4-3 and the win.

Manny Rodriguez went 2 for 4 with a home run and Gabriel Gutierrez was 3 for 5 in the loss.
