Dan Firova - Piratas de Campeche Manager 2015

Dan Firova with the Indians
Dan Firova, born in Refugio Texas in 1956, played for the Seattle Mariners and the Cleveland Indians in his Major League career. Although his playing time was limited, Firova learned valuable lessons about handling a pitching staff.

Starting his managerial career in Laredo Texas in 1993, Dan moved to the Liga Mexicana de Beisbol where he became the leader of the Tigres de Puebla and then the Tigres de Mexico where he won league titles in 1887, 2000 and 2001.

Firova has also coached the Sultanes de Satillo, the Tuneros de San Luis Potosi, the Dorados de Chihuahua, the Vaqueros de Laguna, the Olmecas de Tabasco and the Piratas de Campeche.

During the 2014 season with the Piratas, Firova became the winningest non Mexican manager in league history. Dan has an LMB record on 1013-866 during his lengthy career.
Managing the Piratas

In the off season, Firova has managed the Venados de Mazatlan, the Aguilas de Mexicali and most recently, the Mayos de Navojoa in the Liga Mexicana del Pacifico. He has more than 100 victories in the LMP.
