Felix Fermin - Delfines de Ciudad Carmen Manager 2015

Born in the Dominican Republic, Felix Fermin played in the major leagues from 1987-1996. In 10 years in the big league he played for the Pirates, Indians, Mariners and the Cubs. He compiled a .259 batting average with 718 hits, scoring 294 runs, hit 4 home runs and drove in 207.

In 1989, while playing for the Cleveland Indians, Fermin tied a major league record with 4 sacrifice bunts in one game. He led the majors in sacrifice bunts that year with 32.

Felix coached the Aguilas Cibaenes in the Dominican Winter League from 2000-2009, winning 5 championships and reaching the finals 10 times.

The Aguilas retired his number 10 to put him alongside some notable player/managers such as Tony Pena, Julian Javier and Franklin Taveras.

From 2009-2010, Fermin managed the Gigantes del Cibao in the Dominican League.

The Delfines de Ciudad del Carman named Fermin their manager in 2011 and he starts his 5th year with the club in 2015.

Fermin had an opportunity to coach the Lara Cardinals of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League but preferred to stay in the Dominican Republic and signed to manage in the Winter League again in 2015, with the Toros del Este.
