Navojoa Crushes Obregon 15-0

MAYOS POUND OUT 21 HITS IN THE GAME

This was a game of total opposites. The Mayos pitching staff, starter Jose Oyervides (1-0)and 3 relief pitchers, held the Yaquis to 2 hits and no runs. Obregon pitchers, on the other hand, gave up 21 hits and surrendered 15 runs. Nate Reed (1-1) was touched for 4 runs on 6 hits in 2 innings to take the loss. Reed was relieved by Carlos De Leon who did little to stop the bleeding, giving up 5 runs on 3 hits in 1 1/3 innings on the mound.

In the 4th inning, the Mayos sent 9 men to the plate and 6 of them scored.

Obregon got a runner to third in the 4th inning on a fielding error, a walk and a fly ball to right but John Nogowski struck out to end the inning and the Yaquis best scoring opportunity.

Navojoa, with the win, improves to 3-2 on the season as the Yaquis fall to 2-0
