Art Charles singled with 1 out in the top of the 7th and advanced to second on a fielding error by the Aguilas shortstop. After the second out, Cacao Valdez singled to drive in Charles. Jonathan Aceves walked to load the bases. The Mexicali pitcher then uncorked a wild pitch that got Murillo in for the 5-2 lead.

A walk to Humberto Cota started things off for the Aguilas in the bottom of the 7th. Ramon Urias followed with a double to left.
