Los Mochis Defeats Hermosillo 6-1

SAUL SOTO WITH 2 HOME RUNS IN THE WIN

Yoanys Quiala
The Caneros de Los Mochis built a 6-0 lead after four innings and the pitching staff did the rest. Yoanys Quiala (2-0) threw 6 innings of 1 run ball, his only mistake a home run ball to Eric Young Jr. in the 5th. Three relief pitchers finished the job allowing no runs and no hits over the final 3 innings.

Saul Soto launched the first of his two home runs on the night in the bottom of the 2nd with a man on that gave the Caneros a 2-0 lead.

Los Mochis added a run in the 3rd on a single off the bat of Leandro Castro that scored Everth Cabrera for the 3-0 lead.

Soto led off the bottom of the 4th with a solo home run to deep left center, his 4th home run of the year. Three batters later, Cabrera hit a 2 run home run to right to give Los Mochis a 6-0 lead.

Young's home run in the 5th was hardly enough and the Naranjeros fell to Los Mochis 6-1.

Soto was 2 for 4 with the 2 home runs, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored for the Caneros while team mate Jesus Arredondo was 2 for 4 with a run scored.
