Mazatlan With Crushing Extra Inning Win Over Jalisco 9-6

VENADOS SCORE 5 RUNS IN THE TOP OF THE 12th TO STUN CHARROS

The Venados de Mazatlan and Charros were tied at 4 through 9 innings before Mazatlan exploded for 5 runs in the top of the 12th to top Jalisco 9-6.

Mazatlan scored first with 2 runs in the top of the 2nd inning on a single by Samar Leyva that scored Anthony Giansanti and Kenny Wilson.

Jalisco responded with a run in the bottom of the 4th on a 4-3 ground out that scored Stephen to cut the lead to 2-1.

Edson Garcia tripled with two outs in the top of the 4th and scored on a throwing error by the Jalisco second baseman. Mazatlan led 3-1.

Japhet Amador doubled with two outs in the Charros half of the 5th to score Agustin Murillo. Cardullo drew a base on balls to load the bases. Yadir Drake walked to force in Manny Rodriguez to tie the game at 3. Amador scored on a wild pitch and Jalisco had their first lead of the game at 4-3.

Mazatlan scored a run in the 7th on a double by Garcia that drove in Sebastian Valle to tie the game at 4. Neither team was able to score in the 8th or 9th to bring on the extra innings.

The wheels fell off the wagon so to speak for Jalisco in the 12th. The Venados Sherman Johnson drew a lead off walk. After a sacrifice bunt, Brian Hernandez was intentionally walked. Alex Liddi then waited out a walk to load the bases with one out. Jesus Fabela was hit by a pitch to force in Johnson. Kenny Wilson singled to plate Hernandez and Liddi. Edgar Munoz singled to to drive in Fabela and Wilson. When the dust had settled, Mazatlan led 9-4.

Yadit Drake walked to begin the bottom of the 12th for Jalisco and scored in front of a home run off of the bat of Kevin Medrano that cut the lead to 9-6 but Jalisco would score no more and the Venados had the win by that score.

Of the 16 pitchers used in the game, 8 by each side, Francisco Moreno (1-0)picked up the win for Mazatlan while Manuel Flores (0-1) took the loss for Jalisco.

These two teams are tied atop the LMP standings with identical 12-10 records with the rubber match of the series to be played on Thursday the 8th of November.

Jalisco Triples Up Navojoa 9-3

7 RUN 5th INNING LEADS TO A CHARROS SWEEP OF THE 3 GAME SERIES

Orlando Lara (2-2), starting pitcher for the Charros, didn't throw a no hitter last night but he was effective over 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits to get the win. Jose Oyervides (1-2) and reliever Oswaldo Martinez didn't fare as well. Oyervides gave up 5 runs on 8 hits in 4 innings and Martinez followed with 4 runs on 4 hits in 1/3 of an inning for the Mayos.

Navojoa had the lead after 4 1/2 innings. They scored twice in the 3rd and added a run in the 4th to take a short lived 3-2 lead.

Kevin Medrano doubled with one out in the bottom half of the 4th for the Charros and scored on a single by Santiago Chavez that tied the game at 3.

Jalisco broke the game wide open in their half of the 5th, scoring 7 runs on 8 hits. The Charros sent 12 men to the plate in the inning. The big blow came off of the bat of Japhet Amador who crushed a low and outside fastball to right for the 2 run opposite field home run. Two batters later, Yadir Drake tripled to center to drive in a run and increase the Charros lead to 7-3. A 2 run single by Manny Rodriguez drove in the final two runs in the 9-3 victory by Jalisco.

9,000+ fans were on hand at Estadio Charros de Jalisco to watch the on field fireworks and see the hometown team improve to 10-7. The win vaulted the Charros into a tie with Mazatlan, who lost last night, for the league lead. The Mayos de Navojoa fell to 7-9 with the loss.

Jalisco Sweeps 3 Game Series From Hermosillo With 5-3 Win

TEAMS COMBINE FOR 68 HITS AND 38 RUNS IN 3 GAMES

The Charros de Jalisco completed their 3 game sweep of the visiting Naranjeros with a 5-3 win on Thursday. The hitters series continued with both teams collecting 10 hits. The Charros improved their record to 3-2 on the season while Hermosillo remains winless at 0-5.

Eric Young Jr. started things off for Hermosillo by reaching safely on a fielding error. Young went to third on an errant pickoff attempt and scored on a sac fly to left by Danny Espinosa.

Jalisco took the lead in the bottom of the 3rd. Kevin Medrano singled and went to second on a single by Gabriel Gutierrez. A sacrifice bunt by Carlos Figueroa advanced both runners. Medrano scored on a fielders choice and Gutierrez came home on a force out by Manny Rodriguez.

The Charros added a run in the 4th on a triple by Dariel Alvarez and a single by Niko Vasquez and another run in the 6th on a fielding error and 2 singles for the 4-1 lead.

Hermosillo scored in the top of the 8th when Danny Espinosa was ruled safe at first on a ground ball and scored on a double by Jose Amador. After a walk to Roberto Ramos, Amador scored on a double to left by Cedric Hunter.

Dariel Alvarez took an 0-1 pitch deep to left for a solo home run in the Charros half of the 8th for the final run in the 5-3 win.

Newly acquired pitcher, Vince Molesky (1-0), threw 5 innings of 1 run ball to get the win for the Charros and Grant Sides earned his 2nd save. Arturo Reyes (0-1) gave up 3 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings to take the loss.
